Tecno Camon Slim Smartphone Set for Launch
Tecno has confirmed the upcoming launch of its new Camon Slim smartphone. The Chinese company shared this update on Friday. Moreover, it followed initial speculation on social media. The brand posted several teasers that reveal design clues.
The Tecno Camon Slim features a slim profile as its name suggests. It offers multiple attractive colour options. Additionally, it includes a pill-shaped camera module that sits nearly flush with the body. This design gives the phone a sleek and modern look.
Tecno plans to launch the device soon in global markets. Teasers on X and Instagram show a three-day countdown. Therefore, the launch event is scheduled for June 21. Furthermore, pre-orders have already started in Uganda. Customers who pre-order can enjoy exciting rewards, including discounts up to UGX 2,00,000 (roughly Rs. 5,000).
The teasers highlight five colour variants. They display a wide horizontal camera bar on the back. Moreover, the rear camera island appears in black with a metallic silver frame. Multiple sensors and a flash sit symmetrically inside it. Interestingly, the module features two circular elements that create emotional light effects for notifications, charging, and calls. These animations resemble those on the Tecno Spark Slim.
One white variant stands out with a geometric back panel. The Tecno logo appears vertically near the centre-left. Meanwhile, the Camon branding sits above it. This design looks similar to a limited-edition model.
Although Tecno has not revealed full specifications yet, rumours provide key details. The phone is expected to run on a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset. It may come with 8GB of RAM. Additionally, it could boast an ultra-thin 6.39mm profile. The device is also tipped to include a Sony LYTIA 600 main camera sensor. Furthermore, it might pack a 5,600mAh battery with 60W fast charging support. The handset previously appeared on the Carlcare Service website under model number CN6c.
