A new leak reveals the codename for next year’s Pixel A-series smartphone. Android Authority discovered the internal codenames inside the beta version of Google’s Phone app. The names include Cubs, Grizzly, Kodiak, Yogi, and Formosan.
Previous reports link the first four codenames to the flagship Pixel 11 models. Meanwhile, the codename “Formosan” appears connected to the upcoming Pixel 11a. This discovery shows Google has already started active development on the device.
The company follows a fun bear-themed naming pattern across the entire Pixel 11 lineup. However, Google has not officially confirmed the Pixel 11a yet. Codename details can still change before launch, so enthusiasts should treat this information with caution.
