Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra and Pro Battery Units Appear in Safety Korea Listings
Samsung’s Galaxy S27 series is expected to launch early next year as the successor to the Galaxy S26 lineup. The upcoming range is tipped to include the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Ultra, and Galaxy S27 Pro. While an official announcement is still pending, fresh certification listings now provide an early glimpse at the battery units planned for the Ultra and Pro models.
Safety Korea has certified battery units linked to the Galaxy S27 Ultra and Galaxy S27 Pro, according to details spotted via NotebookCheck. The listings carry certification numbers YU10899-26034 and YU10899-26036. The associated battery model numbers are EB-BS958DBY for the Ultra and EB-BS957CBY for the Pro. Both units are manufactured by Zhuhai CosMX Power’s Jinwan subsidiary in China. The certification entries include images of the batteries. However, they do not disclose the exact capacities.
Earlier reports from China’s 3C database suggested higher capacities for these models. The Galaxy S27 Ultra was tipped to feature a 5,534mAh battery, which Samsung is likely to market as 5,700mAh. The Galaxy S27 Pro was said to use a 5,087mAh-rated unit, expected to be advertised as 5,200mAh. Both phones are also rumoured to support 60W wired charging.
If these figures hold, the Galaxy S27 Ultra would carry a larger battery than the 5,000mAh cell in the Galaxy S26 Ultra. For comparison, the standard Galaxy S26 uses a 4,300mAh battery, while the Galaxy S26+ packs a 4,900mAh unit. These Safety Korea samples appear to be prototypes. As a result, the final retail batteries may differ from the certified versions. Readers should therefore treat the details with caution.
The Galaxy S27 family is widely expected to debut in January next year. The Ultra model is tipped to feature a larger 6.89-inch display. The Pro variant may arrive with a 6.47-inch panel. The Ultra is also expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Extreme chipset, with configurations of up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
These early certifications point to incremental battery upgrades across the S27 Ultra and Pro. Further official details are likely to emerge closer to the expected launch window.
