Nothing Teases Launch of First “b” Series Device in India
Nothing has started teasing the launch of a new device in India. The company will unveil this product as part of its new “b” series.
Currently, Nothing offers a numbered series of smartphones and wireless audio products. However, the upcoming device marks the first time the brand will use the “b” suffix.
In a post on X, the London-based tech firm shared a teaser video. The clip shows the letter “a” transform into “b”. This hint suggests the new device will join one of Nothing’s existing product lines. Yet the company has not revealed the exact name or category.
Nothing already sells its main numbered smartphones and headphones. Additionally, it offers the more affordable “a” series. For example, the brand launched the Nothing Phone 4a and Phone 4a Pro in India on March 5. Later, in April 2024, it introduced the Nothing Ear A.
Meanwhile, tipster Yogesh Brar shared fresh claims. He reports that CMF, Nothing’s sub-brand, has transferred all its existing smartphone projects to the parent company. As a result, CMF has shelved plans for new handsets this year and delayed the successor to the CMF Phone 2 Pro.
Although CMF confirmed it will not launch a phone in India this year, the tipster believes Nothing will introduce a new smartphone next month. Still, the leaker did not specify whether this model will belong to the new “b” series.
In other recent developments, Nothing continues to expand its presence in India. The company signed MoUs with IIT Roorkee and IISc to boost deep-tech innovation. Separately, CEO Carl Pei warned that smartphone prices could rise further in 2026. He also released a video message addressing Apple customers.
For reference, the Nothing Phone 4a features a 6.78-inch LTPS Flexible AMOLED display. This screen supports up to 120Hz refresh rate and reaches 4,500 nits peak brightness. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset powers the device with a peak clock speed of 2.7GHz. Moreover, it introduces the new Glyph Bar interface with 63 mini-LEDs and six individually addressable zones.
Nothing has built strong momentum in the Indian market. With this upcoming “b” series device, the company aims to strengthen its lineup even further. Fans now eagerly await official details in the coming weeks.
