Samsung’s One UI 8.5 Update to Feature Automatic Call Screening

Samsung is set to introduce an automatic call screening feature with its upcoming One UI 8.5 update. According to leaked details, the feature will use Galaxy AI. It will intelligently handle incoming calls when users are busy. It will also manage calls in Do Not Disturb mode.

Key Features:

  • Auto Answer with AI: Automatically answers incoming calls after a preset duration. This can range from 5 to 30 seconds or custom time periods.
  • Real-time Response: AI responds to callers in real-time using speech recognition, generating appropriate replies.
  • Call Transcripts: Users can review transcripts of calls handled by AI.
  • Customizable Control: Users can select which types of calls the AI will answer, including spam, scam, advertisement calls, and deliveries.
  • Privacy: AI sends voice data to servers for processing. The information is not stored. Users can disable the feature anytime.

How it Works:

  1. AI-powered call screening: Automatically detects and answers suspicious calls.
  2. User control: Users can take control of calls at any time or let AI handle conversations.
  3. Customization: Users can choose which calls to auto-answer and set duration for AI to respond.

The feature is expected to debut with the Galaxy S26 series. Users can look forward to enhanced call management capabilities with One UI 8.5
