Apple Set to Launch OLED iPad Mini Soon
Apple plans to release an upgraded iPad Mini with a vibrant OLED display in the coming months. A major supplier has already begun producing the panels for this new tablet.

Samsung Starts OLED Panel Production
Samsung Display has kicked off mass production of OLED panels for the iPad Mini this month. Moreover, the firm has started making panels for the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
Production of panels for Apple’s first foldable iPhone, tentatively named iPhone Ultra, will begin later this month. Meanwhile, manufacturing for the next-generation MacBook Pro is scheduled to start next month. This timeline aligns with the opening of Samsung Display’s new 8.6-generation OLED production line.
Key Suppliers and Supply Chain Details
Samsung Display and LG Display will provide OLED panels for most of Apple’s upcoming products. Samsung will serve as the exclusive supplier for the foldable iPhone, iPad Mini, MacBook Pro, and new monitors. On the other hand, LG Display will act as the exclusive supplier for the Apple Watch 12.
However, Chinese manufacturer BOE has been excluded from the supply chain for the iPhone 18 series. Industry sources note that BOE faced quality issues and delivery delays in the past. As a result, the company has not begun development for the new models.
Launch Timeline for iPad Mini
The eighth-generation iPad Mini is expected to arrive in the third quarter of this year. It will support Apple Intelligence features and come powered by the A18 chipset.
