BSNL Revises Rs. 197 Prepaid Plan, Reduces Validity and Benefits
BSNL has revised its Rs. 197 prepaid plan, reducing the validity and benefits. The plan now offers:
- 54 days of validity
- 300 minutes of voice calling
- 4GB of total data (unlimited data at 40Kbps speed after quota exhaustion)
- 100 SMS messages quota
Previous Plan Details:
- 70 days of validity
- Unlimited voice calling for 15 days
- 2GB per day data quota for 15 days
- 100 SMS messages per day quota for 15 days
The revised plan has significantly reduced benefits, especially the validity, which has been cut down by 16 days. This change may impact subscribers who prefer this plan for its simplicity and affordability. BSNL has been working on improving its services and infrastructure, recently posting a profit after tax of Rs. 280 crore in Q4 FY 2024-25.
