New Chrome Features Boost Productivity

Google Chrome’s updates introduce Split View, enhanced PDF tools, and simplified saving to Google Drive.

Google Chrome Rolls Out New Productivity Tools

Google announced fresh updates for Chrome on Thursday. These changes focus on productivity. They help both everyday users and enterprise teams. The goal is simple: manage tabs better and finish tasks faster.

The standout feature is Split View. Users can now display two tabs side by side in one window. Right-click a tab and choose Split View. Then select another open tab to pair with it. Chrome automatically splits the screen evenly. No more resizing separate windows manually.

This tool makes comparisons easy. Writers can reference notes while drafting. Workers can use multiple web apps at once. Google tested Split View for months. Many users already tried it before the official reveal.

Chrome’s PDF viewer also gets a major upgrade. Annotation tools arrive now. Open a PDF in the browser. An annotation toolbar appears immediately. Highlight text, add comments, draw lines, or make basic markups. Users complete edits without downloading files first.

Another helpful addition is Save to Google Drive. Save files or PDFs directly from Chrome. Click a few times to store content in the cloud. No need to download locally and upload again. Files land in a new “Save from Chrome” folder on Drive. Access them across devices easily. This saves local storage space.

Google rolls out these features in the latest Chrome version for desktop. The update happens gradually. Some users receive it first. Others wait a short time.

These additions streamline daily workflows. They reduce extra steps. Chrome becomes more powerful for work and study. Stay updated as the features reach more browsers soon.
