Apple WWDC 2025: iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 Announced with New Features
Apple unveiled iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 at WWDC 2025. These updates feature Liquid Glass design and improved Apple Intelligence. Not all Apple devices will get the updates.
Devices Not Supported
- iPhone XR
- iPhone XS
- 7th generation iPad (2019)
These devices will still receive security updates for a couple of years. The cutoff is likely due to hardware limitations.

- iPhone 11 series
- iPhone SE (2nd generation and later)
iPadOS 26:
- iPad Pro (M4 and later)
- iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation and later)
- iPad Pro 11-inch (1st generation and later)
- iPad Air (M3 and later)
- iPad (A16 and later)
- iPad mini (A17 Pro and later)
Availability
The developer beta is available now. The public release will be later this year, around the iPhone 17 series launch.
