Samsung’s Exynos 2700 Shows Strong Internal Test Results Against Snapdragon Rivals

Samsung’s Exynos 2700 outperforms Snapdragon in internal tests, enhancing Galaxy S27 series performance.

Samsung’s Exynos 2700 Shows Strong Internal Test Results Against Snapdragon Rivals

Samsung plans to use its in-house Exynos 2700 chip later this year. The company has worked to close the gap with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors. A new report indicates that the Exynos 2700 may deliver stronger multi-core CPU and GPU performance than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series. The chip is expected to power select Galaxy S27 models. However, the results come from internal tests, so readers should treat them with caution until independent data appears.

Internal Benchmarks Favor Exynos 2700

South Korean publication Chosun Biz reports that Samsung ran internal tests. The company compared an Exynos 2700 device with the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, which uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. It also tested against the Xiaomi 18 Pro with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6.

In Geekbench 6.5 multi-core testing, the Exynos 2700 model scored roughly 20 percent higher than the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max. It also posted a 15 percent higher score in Geekbench 7.0 multi-core. Against the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 handset, the Exynos device led by 44 percent in Geekbench 6.5 and 36 percent in Geekbench 7.0. Therefore, the internal numbers point to a clear multi-core advantage.

CPU and Graphics Details

The Exynos 2700 is tipped to use a 10-core CPU. It is expected to include two high-performance C2-Ultra cores and eight C2-Pro cores at varying speeds. This layout may help in multi-threaded workloads compared with the eight-core Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. However, the report does not provide single-core results.

Graphics tests also favored the Exynos chip. Maximum processing performance in high-end games that use the latest graphics technology ran about 20 percent higher than Qualcomm’s top product. Graphics computation performance in 3D games measured about 5 percent higher. In addition, these gains suggest improved handling of demanding visual workloads.

Expected Market Strategy

Samsung has often used a dual-chipset approach for its Galaxy S flagships. The Galaxy S27 series is expected to follow the same pattern. The standard Galaxy S27, S27+, and S27 Pro may launch with the Exynos 2700 in South Korea and Europe. Variants for the US and China, along with the Galaxy S27 Ultra, are likely to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series. Therefore, buyers in different regions may receive different processors.

These internal results highlight Samsung’s ongoing effort to strengthen its Exynos line. Still, real-world performance will depend on final software, cooling, and independent reviews once devices reach the market.
