Poco F9 Pro and F9 Ultra Leak Ahead of Expected Launch: Price, Design and Specifications
Poco could soon expand its flagship smartphone lineup with the Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra. The company has not officially announced either model yet. However, a new leak has revealed key details about their pricing, design, hardware and battery capacities.
According to the leak, Poco may introduce both smartphones in European markets. Meanwhile, the two models could be closely related to the Redmi K100 series launched in China.
Poco F9 Pro and F9 Ultra Price Details
The Poco F9 Pro could carry a price of around EUR 799 in Germany. This price is reportedly for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. In India, that figure converts to roughly Rs. 88,000, although the final Indian price could differ because of taxes and regional pricing.
The Poco F9 Ultra, on the other hand, could cost EUR 999. The reported configuration includes 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. That translates to approximately Rs. 1,10,600.
However, Poco has not confirmed these prices yet. Therefore, buyers should treat the figures as leaked information.
Design and Colour Options
The leaked renders provide an early look at both smartphones. The Poco F9 Pro and F9 Ultra appear to follow a premium flagship design.
Both models could feature a centrally positioned punch-hole camera. They may also use slim bezels around the display. At the rear, the phones are expected to feature a triple-camera setup.
The leaked images show black, green, red and white colour options. Interestingly, the overall design appears similar to the Redmi K100 lineup.
The renders also show Bose branding. This suggests that the phones could focus strongly on audio performance.
Large Batteries Could Be a Major Highlight
Battery capacity could become one of the biggest differences between the Poco models and their Chinese counterparts.
The European Poco F9 Pro is tipped to feature a 6,330mAh battery. Meanwhile, the Poco F9 Ultra could pack an 8,050mAh battery.
These capacities are reportedly lower than those of the corresponding Redmi models. The Redmi K100 Pro reportedly carries an 8,580mAh battery. The Redmi K100 Pro Max, meanwhile, is said to use a 9,070mAh battery.
Even with the reduced capacities, the Poco F9 series could offer strong battery endurance.
Snapdragon Chipsets Expected
Performance could be another major attraction.
The Poco F9 Pro is expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V chipset. The F9 Ultra could go a step further with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
Both phones may offer up to 16GB of LPDDR5x Ultra RAM. They could also include UFS 4.1 storage.
For software, the smartphones are expected to run Android 16 with HyperOS 3. This combination could provide a modern software experience alongside flagship-level hardware.
High-Refresh-Rate AMOLED Displays
The Poco F9 Pro could feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED display. The F9 Ultra may use a larger 6.9-inch AMOLED panel.
Both screens are tipped to support refresh rates of up to 185Hz. They could also reach up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness.
In addition, Gorilla Glass 7i protection could help improve durability. These specifications would position both models firmly in the premium smartphone segment.
200-Megapixel Camera Expected
Photography could also receive a significant upgrade.
The Poco F9 Pro and F9 Ultra are expected to feature triple rear-camera systems. A 200-megapixel primary sensor could lead the setup.
For selfies, both phones may offer a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. However, the complete camera specifications remain unconfirmed.
The final camera performance will depend on the sensors, image-processing system and software tuning used by Poco.
IP69 Rating and Bose Audio
Durability could be another important feature of the upcoming phones. Both models are reportedly expected to carry an IP69 rating.
This could provide strong protection against dust and water exposure. However, users should still follow Poco’s official guidelines once the phones launch.
The Bose branding also suggests a focus on audio quality. The smartphones are expected to feature Bose-tuned speakers.
Expected Redmi Connection
The Poco F9 series could follow Poco’s established strategy of adapting Redmi hardware for global markets.
The Poco F9 Pro is reportedly based on the Redmi K100 Pro. Meanwhile, the F9 Ultra could be derived from the Redmi K100 Pro Max.
The Redmi K100 series launched in China with a starting price of CNY 3,999. The Poco versions could therefore bring similar flagship hardware to international markets, although specifications may vary between regions.
Poco F9 Pro and F9 Ultra: What to Expect
The Poco F9 Pro and F9 Ultra could become interesting flagship alternatives if these leaks prove accurate. Both phones are expected to combine powerful Snapdragon processors with large AMOLED displays and high-capacity batteries.
The F9 Ultra could target users who want maximum performance and a larger display. Meanwhile, the F9 Pro could offer a slightly more compact option at a lower price.
For now, Poco has not confirmed the launch date, specifications or pricing of either smartphone. More information should emerge as the expected launch approaches.
