HTech CEO Madhav Sheth Joins Nxtcell to Launch Alcatel Smartphones in India
Madhav Sheth, CEO of HTech, has joined Nxtcell to lead the launch of Alcatel smartphones in India. This move follows Alcatel’s announcement of its plans to re-enter the Indian smartphone market after a couple of years.
Sheth will work closely with Nxtcell to spearhead technology transfer and local manufacturing. He stated that the technology agreements are signed and local manufacturing will strengthen India’s tech ecosystem and expand export capabilities.
Sheth is likely to maintain his position at HTech, which serves as Honor’s distributor in India. Sheth announced his collaboration with Nxtcell. He teased the launch of new Honor products in India. The company has secured approvals to launch five products.
Alcatel plans to introduce premium smartphones in India, which will be sold via Flipkart. The brand has confirmed that one of its smartphones will come equipped with a stylus and incorporate patented innovations. Local manufacturing will align with the government’s Make in India initiative.
Sheth joined HTech in 2023 to bring Honor smartphones back to the Indian market after leaving Realme. Alcatel’s return to India aims to establish a pan-India service network for customer support.
