Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro Surfaces with Strong Benchmark Scores
Qualcomm recently announced the schedule for this year’s Snapdragon Summit. The event will take place next month. The company is expected to launch its next-generation Snapdragon chipsets there. These may include the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series. The flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro could debut as well.
This new SoC will power upcoming flagship phones from Xiaomi, OnePlus, and other brands. Ahead of the official reveal, the chip has already appeared on a benchmarking platform. The listing reveals early performance details.
Tipster Digital Chat Station shared the news on Weibo. An unreleased Snapdragon chipset with model number SM8975 showed up on AnTuTu. The tipster links this model to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. Qualcomm may launch it next month. Reports also suggest the chip uses a 2nm process.
The SoC scored 4,835,412 points overall on AnTuTu. This result nearly reaches the five-million mark. It earned 320,633 points in the CPU Arithmetic Operations test. It also scored 318,984 points in the CPU Commonly Used Algorithms test.
Multi-core CPU performance reached 639,306 points. The chipset scored 90,007 points in the CPU AI performance test. Overall CPU performance landed at 1,368,930 points.
Qualcomm paired the chip with an Adreno 850 GPU. The GPU delivered an overall score of 1,854,826 points. It scored 156,718 points in the GPU Seasons: Light and Shadow Vulkan test. The Little Cabin Vulkan test produced 849,992 points.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro is expected to power next-generation flagships. These include the OnePlus 16, Xiaomi 18 Pro series, and Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra. The new chip will succeed the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which uses a 3nm process.
Qualcomm will likely unveil the chipset between September 22 and September 24. The event will take place in Maui, Hawaii, during Snapdragon Summit 2026.
