Vivo will launch the S2 smartphone in India on August 6. The company has already shared key details ahead of the event. It confirmed three colour options for the device.
The phone will arrive in Regal Bronze, Sapphire Blue and Silk White. It features a 6.83-inch 3D Curved AMOLED display. The panel offers 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. In addition, it reaches 3,000-nit peak brightness. The screen delivers 449 pixels per inch and a 93.82 percent screen-to-body ratio. It also carries SGS Low Blue Light and SGS Five-Star Sunlight Readable certifications.
A MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset powers the phone. Vivo claims the processor scores around 9,70,000 on AnTuTu. The device measures just 7.99 mm in thickness. Moreover, it houses a large 7,050mAh battery.
For photography, the rear side carries a 50-megapixel primary camera. It uses a Sony IMX852 sensor. A 32-megapixel lens handles front-facing shots. Both cameras support 4K video recording. The phone also includes symmetrical dual speakers.
OriginOS 6 comes pre-installed. The software adds features such as Shake and Share. Users can transfer photos and videos by simply shaking compatible devices. AI Creation, AI Transcript Assist and Circle to Search 2.0 further expand the experience.
Vivo will sell the S2 through its official India store and Amazon. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is expected to cost Rs. 51,999. The 8GB RAM + 256GB version may carry a price of Rs. 55,999. The official launch takes place at 12 pm IST on August 6.
