Google Pixel Watch 5 Specs Surface Ahead of August Launch
Google is expected to reveal the Pixel Watch 5 next month. The wearable will likely debut at the Made by Google event on August 12. Just weeks before the official announcement, the device has already appeared on the Google Play Console.
9to5Google spotted the listing. It carries the codename “godric.” The entry suggests the Pixel Watch 5 will use the same base chip as last year’s model. That chip is Qualcomm’s SW5100 platform, which also powered the Pixel Watch 2 and later versions.
The CPU and GPU appear unchanged. The chipset features four Cortex-A53 cores paired with an Adreno 702 GPU. For context, the Pixel Watch 2 used a 4nm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1. Last year’s Pixel Watch 4 upgraded to the Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 for Satellite SOS support and added a Cortex-M55 co-processor.
The new listing points to a clear upgrade in memory. The Pixel Watch 5 is expected to come with 3GB of RAM. That marks an increase from the 2GB found in the Pixel Watch 4. The extra memory should improve Gemini-powered features and other on-device AI tasks.
The console listing also includes an image of the smartwatch. It matches earlier leaks and shows an analogue watch face with Gemini’s Neural Expressive design language.
Previous reports suggested a starting price of around €419 in the UK for the base 41mm model with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The watch is expected to ship with Wear OS 7. It may also include Google’s consolidated Health app.
Google is likely to unveil the Pixel Watch 5 alongside the Pixel 11 series. The smartwatch could go on sale as early as August 20. More official details should arrive at the August event.
