Huawei Launches Nova 16 and Nova 16z Smartphones in China
Huawei has introduced two new smartphones in China. The company launched the Huawei Nova 16 and Nova 16z on Monday. Both models are now available for purchase in the country.
These phones come with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. Moreover, they feature different Kirin chipsets and strong camera systems. The Nova 16 offers a bigger battery, while the Nova 16z provides a more compact option.
Price and Availability
The Huawei Nova 16 starts at CNY 2,999 (around Rs. 42,000) for the 12GB + 256GB version. The higher 12GB + 512GB model costs CNY 3,499 (about Rs. 49,000).
On the other hand, the Nova 16z begins at CNY 2,699 (roughly Rs. 38,000) for the base variant. Its top 12GB + 512GB version is priced at CNY 3,199 (approximately Rs. 45,000).
Both smartphones are currently on sale through Huawei’s online store in China. They come in attractive colors such as Iridescent Mother of Pearl, Sky White, and Starry Black. Additionally, the Nova 16 is available in Sky Blue.
Huawei Nova 16 Features
The Nova 16 runs on HarmonyOS 6.1. It features a 6.68-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen also supports 2,160Hz PWM dimming and delivers vibrant colors.
Huawei equips the phone with a Kirin 9010S chipset. For photography, it includes a 50-megapixel main camera and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3.3x optical zoom. The front camera is also 50 megapixels.
Furthermore, the device packs a large 7,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging support. It carries an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. The phone measures 159.6 × 75.5 × 7.3mm and weighs 199g.
Huawei Nova 16z Features
The Nova 16z comes with a 6.7-inch Full HD+ OLED display. It offers the same smooth 120Hz experience as the standard model. This phone is powered by the Kirin 8020 chipset.
In the camera department, it uses the same 50-megapixel main and front cameras. However, it features a 12-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
The Nova 16z includes a 6,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging. It also supports 5G connectivity, NFC, and multiple global navigation systems. The device measures 161.79 × 75.47 × 7.19mm and weighs 196.5g.
