Apple has launched several new devices this month. The company introduced the powerful M5-powered 15-inch MacBook Air (2026) and the M5 Max-powered MacBook Pro (2026). It also released a new entry-level laptop called the MacBook Neo, which uses the A18 Pro chipset.
At the same time, Apple has discontinued some older Mac products. The company has now removed the Mac Pro (2023) from its website across the world, including in India. This move effectively stops the sale of the flagship desktop powered by the M2 Ultra chip.
Apple has updated both its US and India online stores. The Mac Pro no longer appears in the Desktops section. Now, customers can only buy the latest iMac, Mac Mini, and Mac Studio models. These newer desktops use M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max chipsets respectively.
Apple has officially confirmed the discontinuation of the Mac Pro lineup. The company does not plan to release a new version of the Mac Pro in the future. This decision comes nearly three years after the Mac Pro (2023) was launched in June 2023 at WWDC.
The Mac Pro (2023) marked Apple’s full shift to its own Apple Silicon processors. It featured a 24-core CPU and up to a 76-core GPU. The device supported up to 192GB of RAM and offered fast memory bandwidth of around 800GBps. Users could also connect up to six Pro Display XDR monitors to it.
Additionally, Apple has discontinued the Pro Display XDR. It has been replaced by the new Studio Display XDR as the company’s flagship display.
With these changes, Apple continues to refresh its Mac lineup. The company focuses more on its latest M4 and M5 series chipsets. The discontinuation of the Mac Pro shows Apple’s strategy to simplify its desktop offerings and move forward with newer technologies.
These updates reflect Apple’s ongoing effort to deliver more efficient and powerful Mac devices to its customers.
