Google AI Plus Goes Global – Now Cheaper Entry to Premium AI
Google just made its AI tools more accessible worldwide.
The company expanded its Google AI Plus subscription to every country where paid plans exist. This rollout now covers 165 countries and territories.
On Wednesday, Google announced the big update. It added the plan to 35 new regions, including the United States. Interestingly, the US joins late – four months after the pilot launched in Indonesia. Meanwhile, India already received access back in December 2025.
Google AI Plus sits perfectly between the free tier and the higher Google AI Pro plan. It becomes the most affordable way to unlock premium Gemini features.
In India, the plan costs Rs. 199 for the first six months. After that, it jumps to Rs. 399 per month. In the US, users pay $7.99 (about Rs. 734) monthly. However, a limited-time offer gives 50% off for the first two months.
Subscribers enjoy higher access to the powerful Gemini 3 Pro model. The standard Gemini app and website now handle a 128K token context window. Free users remain limited to just 32K tokens.
This plan opens the door to AI video generation too. Users create videos with the Veo 3 Fast model – a feature completely unavailable on the free tier. Daily limits apply, though Google did not share exact numbers.
Beyond that, Google AI Plus brings real productivity boosts. Subscribers unlock the Gemini side panel inside Workspace apps. It works smoothly in Gmail, Docs, Slides, Sheets, and Drive. Additionally, users gain access to the video creation app Flow. They also enjoy the image-to-video tool Whisk.
Every subscriber receives 200GB of cloud storage. This shared space covers Google Drive, Photos, and Gmail.
Google clearly wants more people experimenting with advanced AI. The global rollout lowers the entry barrier significantly. So casual users, students, and professionals can now try premium features without breaking the bank.
The timing feels strategic too. AI competition heats up fast. Google moves quickly to capture a bigger audience.
