iQOO 15R Appears on Bluetooth SIG, Launch Could Be Imminent
The iQOO 15 was launched in November as the successor to the iQOO 13.
Now, a new model may soon join the lineup.
A previously unknown iQOO smartphone has been spotted on a certification database.
The listing introduces a new moniker: iQOO 15R.
Like its OnePlus counterpart, the iQOO 15R is expected to sit below the flagship model.
It could serve as a more affordable alternative in the iQOO 15 series.
iQOO 15R Listed on Bluetooth SIG
The Bluetooth SIG website has listed an unannounced iQOO device with model number I2508.
The listing confirms the phone’s name as iQOO 15R.
Such certifications usually indicate that a smartphone is nearing launch.
However, no technical specifications or design details were revealed in the filing.
This is the first official appearance of the iQOO 15R name.
Earlier, a device with the same model number showed up on the IMEI database. It was listed under the moniker iQOO Neo 11 for India and global markets.
The latest listing now suggests the final branding may be iQOO 15R instead.
Rebranded iQOO Z11 Turbo
According to a report by TechOutlook, the iQOO 15R could be a rebranded version of the upcoming iQOO Z11 Turbo. It is expected to launch soon in China.
The handset is confirmed to be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.
The same processor is also used in the OnePlus Ace 6T in China and the OnePlus 15R in global markets.
Internally, the device carries the codename “The Battle Spirit.”
Display, Camera, and Build Details
The smartphone will feature a 6.59-inch display.
On the rear, it will house a 200-megapixel ultra-clear primary camera.
The device will come with a metal frame, glass back panel, and rounded corners.
For durability, iQOO claims IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance.
Biometric security will be handled by an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
Launch Timeline
With multiple certifications now completed, the iQOO 15R appears to be approaching an official debut.
The company has not yet announced a launch date.
