AWS Unveils Nova: A New Family of AI Models
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has introduced its latest family of AI models, Nova, at its annual re:Invent conference. This new generation of AI models offers improved intelligence. The Nova Family
The Nova family comprises five diverse large language models (LLMs), each tailored to specific use cases:
- Nova Micro: A text-only model optimized for low-latency responses and efficient processing.
- Nova Lite: A multimodal model capable of processing text, images, and videos, while generating text outputs.
- Nova Pro: A powerful multimodal model. It can handle a wide range of tasks. These tasks include text generation, code generation, and creative writing.
- Nova Image: An image generation model that can create realistic images from text descriptions.
- Nova Video: A video generation model that can generate videos from text descriptions.
A Glimpse into the Future
AWS CEO Andy Jassy also announced plans for a sixth model, Nova Premier, which is slated for release in 2025. This model is expected to push the boundaries of AI capabilities even further, offering advanced features and performance.
