AI+ Rolls Out NxtQuantum OS v1.1
Homegrown brand AI+ announced the release of NxtQuantum OS v1.1 for its smartphones on Thursday. The update focuses on privacy, security, and transparency in how apps access device resources and user data.
A key addition is the NxtPrivacy Dashboard. It unifies app permissions into a single interface, allowing users to review, modify, or revoke them. The OS also adds alerts for excessive or unnecessary permissions.
AI+ says the update expands its focus on data sovereignty. App traffic will remain within India, while external traffic is limited to essential Google services in California and Singapore.
The security framework performs automated analysis across 1,000+ connections and 172 destination IPs. Users will also gain visibility into background activity, seeing when apps access sensitive resources without active use.
The rollout timeline for individual models has not yet been announced. AI+ currently sells six smartphones in India under the Nova and Pulse series.
