Samsung Galaxy A57 5G Appears on BIS, India Launch Expected in Early 2026
Samsung’s upcoming mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy A57 5G, has taken a major step toward its India launch.
The handset has now been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification platform.
This strongly suggests that its official debut in the country is approaching.
The Galaxy A57 will succeed last year’s Galaxy A56.
The new certification adds weight to earlier reports that pointed to an early 2026 launch window.
Samsung is now expected to confirm its plans in the coming weeks.
BIS Listing Confirms Galaxy A57’s Arrival
The BIS database shows a Samsung device carrying the model number SM-A576B/DS.
It received approval on December 31, 2025.
The DS suffix confirms that the phone will support dual SIM functionality.
Although the certification does not reveal the marketing name, Samsung’s numbering pattern clearly matches the upcoming Galaxy A57 5G.
BIS approval usually means that a device is very close to launch in India.
According to recent reports, the Galaxy A57 could arrive around February 2026.
It may launch alongside or shortly after the Galaxy S26 series.
Exynos 1680 Chipset and Android 16 Expected
Leaks suggest that the Galaxy A57 5G will be powered by Samsung’s new Exynos 1680 processor.
It will reportedly be paired with the Xclipse 550 GPU.
The device is also expected to ship with Android 16 out of the box.
Samsung may offer up to 12GB of RAM, placing the phone firmly in the upper mid-range category.
Samsung Could Change Display Sourcing Strategy
The Galaxy A57 is expected to feature a flexible AMOLED display.
Samsung may add TCL CSOT as a second OLED supplier alongside Samsung Display.
This move could help Samsung reduce production costs.
It may also allow for slimmer bezels and better overall display quality.
Major Camera Upgrades Expected
The Galaxy A57 5G is tipped to include a 50-megapixel primary camera with a larger sensor than the previous model.
It will likely be joined by a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 5-megapixel macro sensor.
On the front, Samsung is expected to use a 12-megapixel selfie camera.
These upgrades could make the A57 one of the strongest camera phones in its segment.
Galaxy A37 May Launch Alongside
Reports also indicate that Samsung could introduce the Galaxy A37 alongside the A57.
Both models are expected to bring improved camera and display hardware.
With BIS certification now complete, Samsung’s next major mid-range launch in India appears to be just around the corner.
