Google Pixel 10 Series: A Peek into the Future

Google’s Pixel 10 series isn’t expected to hit the market until the second half of 2024. However, leaks and rumors have already started to circulate. The lineup is anticipated to include four models. These are the base Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and a foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

Powering the Next Generation Google’s in-house Tensor G5 chipsets are rumored to power all four models. They will run on the latest Android 16 operating system. A significant connectivity upgrade is expected. The base Pixel 10 is likely to feature a new MediaTek T900 modem. This upcoming modem is based on MediaTek’s M85 generation. It is designed to support the latest 5G standards. It is also anticipated to address battery life and thermal issues. These issues have plagued previous Pixel generations.

A Strategic Shift Google’s decision to opt for a MediaTek modem is a strategic move. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon modems have led the industry standard for many years. However, MediaTek has recently made significant strides. They offer competitive performance and power efficiency. This shift could potentially lead to improved battery life and overall performance for the Pixel 10 series.

As we inch closer to the official launch, more details about the Pixel 10 series are expected to emerge. Stay tuned for further updates on these exciting new devices.
