  • Vivo Y19s: Price & Specs Unveiled

    Vivo Y19s was globally unveiled in October. However, at the time, the company did not reveal the pricing details of the handset. Now, Vivo has announced the price and storage configurations of the smartphone. The phone has been listed on one of the brand’s regional websites.

    It features a 6.68-inch 90Hz HD+ LCD screen. The device includes a Unisoc T612 chipset and a 50-megapixel main camera. It also has a 5,500mAh battery with 15W wired charging support. Notably, an India launch of the budget handset has yet to be confirmed.

    Vivo Y19s price in Thailand starts at THB 3,999 (roughly Rs. 9,800) for the 4GB + 64GB option. Meanwhile, the 4GB + 128GB and the 6GB + 128GB variants are priced at THB 4,399 (roughly Rs. 10,800) and THB 4,999 (roughly Rs. 12,300), respectively. They are currently available for purchase in the country via the Vivo Thailand e-store.

    The Vivo Y19s is offered in three color options — Glacier Blue, Glossy Black, and Pearl Silver.

  • Itel S25 Ultra 4G: Specs and Pricing Leaked

    Itel S25 Ultra 4G is expected to go official soon. Its pricing details have surfaced online. Key specifications and design have appeared in alleged marketing images. The leaked promotional materials suggest three colour options for the phone. The Itel S25 Ultra 4G has a triple camera unit on the rear. It also features a hole punch cutout on the display. It is said to feature a Unisoc T620 SoC under the hood, along with up to 8GB of RAM. The Itel S25 Ultra 4G is tipped to carry a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

    Tipster Paras Guglani (@passionategeekz) posted alleged marketing materials and renders of the Itel S25 Ultra showing its specifications, and design. The tipster claims the 4G handset will be priced under Rs. 15,000 in India or around $160 (roughly Rs. 13,500) in other markets.

    Renders show the Itel S25 Ultra in black, blue, and titanium colorways with a hole punch display design. It appears to have a triple rear camera unit arranged on the upper left corner of the handset. The arrangement of sensors is identical to the camera setup of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

  • Xiaomi Unveils HyperOS 2: Features and Updates Explained

    Xiaomi has announced HyperOS 2. This is the latest operating system (OS) for Xiaomi devices such as smartphones, smartwatches, and smart TVs. It builds upon the success of HyperOS, which was unveiled in October 2023. This new OS features the Chinese smartphone maker’s HyperCore technology. It is said to bring improvements in performance, graphics, network, and safety. It also leverages artificial intelligence (AI). The AI handles tasks such as wallpaper generation and turning rough sketches into related images. It also provides translation in real-time.

    HyperOS 2 will be introduced out-of-the-box in Xiaomi’s latest devices. These include the flagship Xiaomi 15 series, Pad 7 series, and Watch S4 lineup. It also includes the Xiaomi TV S Pro Mini LED 2025 Series. The lineup also features the Redmi Smart TV X 2025 Series and the Mi Band 9 Pro. It will also be introduced on the Xiaomi 14 series and older smartphones. Smart TVs and wearable devices will receive it in the coming weeks and months, as per the company.

Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, Xiaomi Civi 3, and Civi 2 will also receive updates. The Redmi K50 lineup and Redmi Note 13 series are included as well. Updates will also come to the Redmi Note 12 series, Redmi 14R 5G, and 14C. Additionally, Redmi 13R 5G, 13C 5G, and Redmi 12 5G will receive updates. The 12R, Xiaomi Pad 6, and the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4 will also be updated.

    HP launched the OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 in India on Tuesday. It is the company’s latest laptop equipped with support for artificial intelligence (AI) features. There are two variants available. Both variants are powered by Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors. They feature a dedicated neural processing unit (NPU) capable of 48 trillion operations per second (TOPS). It features a 14-inch 2.8K OLED screen with support for inking and a haptic touchpad. According to the company, the OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 offers up to 21 hours of battery life. This performance is achieved on a single charge with local video playback.

    HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 Ultra 7 price in India is starts at Rs. 1,81,999. The laptop is now available via Amazon, Flipkart, HP’s online store, and offline retail channels. It comes in Atmospheric Blue and Eclipse Grey color options.

    Pricing for the OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 Ultra 9 starts at Rs. 1,91,999. It will be available for purchase in November via the same channels mentioned above. The device comes in a single Atmospheric Blue colorway.

  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition Launch

    The company announced on Monday that Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition will be available for purchase next week. It will be accessible in select markets. The new foldable smartphone is thinner and lighter than the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6 that debuted earlier this year. It also improves upon several of its features including the camera system and the display. However, its launch is limited and will only be initially available in the South Korean technology conglomerate’s home base.

    A new humanoid robot from China has set a record. It runs at a top speed of just over 8 mph. It is the fastest bipedal robot to date. The feat was only achieved with the help of a pair of specially added trainers. Known as STAR1, the robot was developed by Robot Era, a Chinese company focused on advanced robotics. STAR1 stands at 5 feet 7 inches tall (171 cm) and weighs 143 pounds (65 kg).

    Robot Era showed a demonstration video. They put two STAR1 robots to the test in the Gobi Desert. This desert is located in northwestern China. They equipped one robot with sneakers. They did not equip the other robot with shoes. This was done to measure if the footwear would impact performance. The robot with shoes was powered by high-torque motors and AI algorithms. It was able to navigate challenging terrains such as grass, gravel, and pavement. It maintained a consistent top speed for 34 minutes.

  • Tesla Cybercab: The Future of Driverless Robotaxis

    Tesla Cybercab electric vehicle (EV) was unveiled at the “We, Robot” event on Thursday. The highly-anticipated robotaxi was introduced at the Warner Bros lot in Burbank, California. It competes with the likes of Alphabet’s Waymo. This new robotaxi joins Tesla’s lineup of autonomous self-driving vehicles such as the Cybertruck, Model 3, and Model S. However, unlike the aforementioned vehicles, it does not feature a dedicated steering wheel. It also lacks any paddles. This hints towards the potential realisation of billionaire Elon Musk’s vision of a driverless future.

    In addition to the Cybercab, Musk unveiled a Robovan and showcased Optimus — a general-purpose robotic humanoid. The billionaire reiterated his promise. He plans to bring autonomous driving to the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y in California and Texas by 2025.

    Musk’s Tesla aims to break into the robotaxi market with the introduction of the Cybercab. Waymo is currently the major player in the US. They are operating a fleet of uncrewed vehicles. Tesla’s robotaxi will not feature any pedals or even a steering wheel. Instead, it will rely on artificial intelligence (AI) and an array of sensors.
