Samsung is gearing up to launch its Galaxy Z Fold 8 series this month. The lineup will feature the company’s first wide-folding handset along with the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Ahead of the official unveiling, several leaks and rumours have emerged online. These hints reveal exciting details about the new foldables.
Recently, fresh information surfaced about the prices and storage options for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. Moreover, a reliable tipster has shared more updates on the upcoming book-style foldables.
Ice Universe, a well-known leaker on X, posted the latest details. According to the tipster, Samsung will equip both the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra with a noticeably different hinge. This new design promises a major improvement by minimising the crease on the main display.
Furthermore, the folding and unfolding action will feel more decisive on these devices. As a result, users will find it harder to hold the phones at specific angles compared to the previous generation. However, the crease reduction will bring the display quality close to that of the Oppo Find N6, which offers a near-crease-free experience.
Pricing details have also leaked recently. The standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to start at EUR 1,999 (roughly Rs. 2,17,000) for the 256GB storage variant. Additionally, the 512GB model may cost EUR 2,199 (about Rs. 2,40,000), while the 1TB version could reach EUR 2,599 (roughly Rs. 2,83,000).
On the other hand, the premium Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra will reportedly begin at EUR 2,199 (about Rs. 2,40,000) for the base 256GB model. Higher variants with 512GB and 1TB storage might be priced at EUR 2,399 (roughly Rs. 2,60,000) and EUR 2,799 (about Rs. 3,00,000) respectively.
Samsung plans to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series on July 2 during its Galaxy Unpacked event in London. The company will likely introduce the clamshell-style Galaxy Z Flip 8 alongside it. However, Samsung has not yet confirmed the exact launch date officially.
