Motorola’s next clamshell foldable, the Razr 70, has appeared on China’s 3C certification database. This appearance signals that the launch draws near.
Tech blogger Anvin shared the news on X. The listing shows model number XT2657-2. Importantly, it confirms support for 33W wired charging. This marks a small upgrade from the 30W speed on the Razr 60.
Earlier, the Razr 70 also surfaced on China’s TENAA certification site. Additionally, it appeared in the UAE’s TDRA database. These listings reveal several key specifications.
The phone will likely succeed the Razr 60 series. Motorola launched that series in April 2025. Now, the Razr 70 may debut in China later this month or early April. After that, a wider global rollout could follow.
The 3C certification highlights the charging improvement. Meanwhile, TENAA details point to many similarities with the predecessor. The device carries a rated 4,275mAh dual-cell battery. This translates to a typical capacity of around 4,500mAh, just like the Razr 60.
The main display stays at 6.9 inches. It offers full-HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,640 pixels on an OLED panel. The cover display remains 3.63 inches with 1,056 x 1,066 pixels.
Camera setup brings a noticeable change. The Razr 70 features a dual rear camera system. Both sensors deliver 50 megapixels each. This replaces the previous 50MP primary plus 13MP ultra-wide combination. However, the front camera holds steady at 32 megapixels.
Performance sees a slight boost too. The handset uses a 2.75GHz octa-core chipset. This chip runs a bit faster than the Dimensity 7400X in the Razr 60.
RAM options expand impressively. They range from 8GB up to 18GB. Storage reaches as high as 1TB.
Dimensions stay almost the same. The phone measures 171.3 x 73.9 x 7.2mm. It weighs about 188 grams. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor continues to provide quick unlocking.
